“Never get so busy making a living, that you forget to make a life."
It’s no secret here at Tinker Tin that Dolly Parton means a lot more to us than just a blonde busty little pistol with one hell of a voice. We like to consider her more, as our unofficial life coach. This year and every year we try to follow her words of wisdom, or Dolly-isms! The quote above is one of our favorites- and we used it to continually check ourselves throughout the year.
We love what we do, so it’s hard to always call it work, but even we need to be reminded to take a break from our trailer projects & to hit the road and camp in these little pieces of American history… the way they were meant to be enjoyed!!
2016 has been a year filled with new (well… new for us) trailers, lots of new friends & exciting new adventures (cough cough The Trailer Pond cough cough)! Before we head on down the road to 2017 we wanted to stop & share a few of our favorite Tinker Tin adventures from 2016...
We delivered a couple vintage trailers into the Yosemite foothills this summer, then headed straight into the park! The above left photo was taken at Stoneman Meadow in the Yosemite Valley in 1929, the photo to the right we took in the same place on our trip in 2016! Almost 100 years later how lucky are we to be able to enjoy these same incredible views that will forever be preserved!
Dolly Parton floatin' up on stage like the little angel that she is! All our dreams came true this year when we finally got to see Dolly live in our own home town at Vina Robles!!
To end this little blog, we wanted to say thank you to every ramblin’ soul that has been a small or large part of our adventure this year. We love you and couldn’t do this without you!!
