“Keep close to Nature’s heart …and break clear away, once in a while, and climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods. Wash your spirit clean”
—John Muir

Christmas day we left town on road trip! We drove up the California Coast till we got to the Oregon/Washington border! We began our adventure by spending Christmas night camping with our family, just north ofour town up in Big Sur! We enjoyed an evening sunset on the bluffs, hung around the campfire, opened gifts with the family, drank copious amounts of apple spice and peach moonshine, ate homemade caramels, oh and cherished our own personal Christmas tree ..with Christmas lights I might add. It was the best start to our trip! We then wandered north past San Francisco up through the redwoods. We surfed and camped, explored, saw some crazy ghost trailers (purchased some ghost trailers), and met some really neat people! It was a perfect way to spend the New Year! Remembering and laughing about our 2013 memories, and beginning 2014 with some new ones! Here are some pictures we took along the way, starting with our Christmas Trailer!!
